ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
These parrots are regarded as the most intelligent of their species. They are great talkers and have the capacity to learn over 1500 words. Mimicing household noises such as telephones and microwaves is an easy feat for these birds. Not only can they mimic, but they have the ability to put words they have learned into the right context. in their natural habitat, their predators consist of hawks, falcons, monkeys and other tree dwelling mammals. These predators can either attack the parrot itself or go after the eggs. The African Grey has developed a defense for this though, they will fall silent and wait until the predator is close then burst from the tree tops shrieking. Chaos will ensue and the predator will be scared away.
