PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
CONGO:
This subspecies of the African Grey is approximately 26-32 cm in length. Their weight is approximately 450 g. Their colouring consists of grey feathers, with a solid black beak, and a bright red tail.
TIMNEH:
The smaller of the two parrots, the Timneh averages at 26 cm in length and can weigh up to 300g. Their colouring consists of a dark grey body and wings, pinkish upper beak, and a maroon coloured tail. If you ever get the chance to see one up close, examine the tips of their tail and you will see a scallop-like pattern.
A way to differentiate between female and male in both species is that the males present with a bigger head and beak.
